also see some IG personalities show items them have, cars or watches. it's all good.
some are really into the hobby, some are into the "show"
but if you follow the poster long enough you will see if they are there to "show" or they actually believe and enjoy their hobby and want to share with other like minded ppl.
GT3/RS or Daytona are nice, but not that nice to "show".
as such I made an IG post in jest with my daytona "FINALLY, I CAN FLEX WITH THE 30 YEAR OLDS"...
guys with F1, original ferrari Lusso, D-types don't bother posting much haha.
and some of my clients have watch collection where anything below $500,000 USD is considered daily beater.
everyone is a bit different and that's the fun of it all.
I enjoy everyone's post and have a good time with it.
John - good info. Between you and another member, I think I've gotten some good info on some of their business practices. They definitely present themselves as trying to sell the best cars possible, but clearly trying to actually buy from them is a bit of a challenge. One of the things that I don't like though that I did talk with a member about is how they inflate their servicing prices. They put $15k into a car, but those are definitely inflated prices. Either way, I'll have to be careful who I recommend to them. Then again, most of my friends choose to buy the average priced M car and then work on it over time instead of paying up front.

listed VIN does not appear to be valid, but spec is listed as well as mods

Strange that they didn't provide a valid vin for the car.

If you're willing to share that once compiled, I'd be very interested, at least in the normal 997.1 GT3 numbers. I contacted Carfax a while back to see if they sell the unlimited subscription reports anymore and they do not as I had one years ago and it was quite nice. I don't think Autocheck does anymore either. Unless someone is a dealer, then I think it's unlimited. But it would be good to see average mileage across cars and then whether or not they have a reported accident. I guess you could figure out that a car maybe was wrecked on track if it doesn't have any registration history for the past 5+ years, etc.

Guessing quite a few of these had on track accidents early in life, specifically.

Sure miss a lot not being here for two or three days....
I too have been "allmost" in the market for 997 GT car.
Didn't know enough at the time of the purchase of my 7.2S car all of the differences between all of these 911 variables.
I did get lucky for my 7.2 car, found it with 17K, CPO'd, three pedal, only one I've seen with dark blue interior (sea foam? no) and Arctic Silver for $4k less that 3 other samples at the time. Bought it or $59k and I can still get close to that, which will be on the market soon to help fund the GT car.
I did plan on tracking an auto-xing it, (and have but not as much as I'd like, sometimes life (wife's health, dads health) happens and post pones things
Yes, wish I knew enough at the time that the GT3 is more than the sum of its parts compared to my 7.2, but I'm still super happy with my car but I like track time 3-4 times a year and the occasional auto-x as well.
Timing. I just bought a 2mil commercial building for my biz, plus it has three other rentals on it, so the fact that its a fixer upper is going to tie up what cash I had to further post pone my GT3 purchase.
I do want to talk with Doug, but, talk is cheap. Money talks right?
While patience is part, life is short. Here I sit, not crying, but Metzger-less. The 90% reason I'm moving up to a GT3,

Cheers all, again, thanx for the banter, good stuff for a newb like me.

I think even Doug will have a hard time finding you a “Metzger” GT3

I've been looking around recently for a 996 GT3, but the more I consider it, the more I am drawn to the 997 GT3. I've looked almost everywhere online to see what's available, and haven't found the right spec/price/availability yet. I am looking for a relatively low mileage version (15k to 45k miles) in silver or white. Let me know if you have something like this. You can send me a private message here.

I am in Los Angeles.

Anybody pick up the speed yellow one at Porsche Beaverton? Still no pics and says pending sale on autotrader. Thought it would be gone by now, perhaps it is and just an outdated listing.
