Exactly right. My car was 270K at PNH about 2 years ago.

Car has a bit of a story, but I regret not buying it when I had the chance.

It's one of the best looking RS's I have ever seen. Sorry you didn't snag it I haven't followed that car who had it or has it? Wait, that's RDM2418's car right? Where is it for sale and how much? Back at PNH?

The car is at PNH. I've had the car since August of last year. Story? Huh? It has no stories that I'm aware of (and I've bought many cars from PNH and they wouldn't sell me a car with a "story").
Since owning the car, I've sourced and changed the rotors back to PCCB (prior owner had swapped to steel). Billy, the GM, found the rotors for me. Mike Yale's team did the work and performed a full brake service - bleeding, tested brakes, new pads. No issues. I had the wheels re-weighted (they had some tired looking weights on them, so I replaced).
A few months later, had the engine pulled, pipes pinned, clutch changed to 4.0, wheels aligned, car covered in xpel, and other service items performed. Mike has the records. Tri at Xpel Houston did the xpel, and it's perfect. He also did paint correction and told me at some point the car was covered in a vinyl wrap which pretty much kept the paint perfect. He found evidence of the vinyl under the rear tail light. He told me he looked underneath the car and saw no evidence of serious track use in the wheel wells or otherwise, so no idea why someone swapped for steel.
Billy, the GM, told me it is the cleanest used 997.2 RS PNH has ever owned condition wise. The only qualm one may have about the car is that some of the riviera blue paint on the wheels is flaking off on the inside of the wheels. I didn't fix them because I was going to do it when I replaced the tires at some point. I'm sure you could get the DME and other info from Gerald.
I have serious heart ache getting rid of the car. It's awesome. Get smiles and turns heads everywhere.
I posted the car info here because I thought someone in RL would want it (I've gotten a number of messages about it).
It will probably be over priced - I'm not a motivated seller.

When I was looking at the car, it was missing the ceramic brakes and had just been in storage for 3-4 years prior to the previous owner purchasing the car.
Obviously the car was well cared for by the previous owner, and it's clearly been in good hands since. In my opinion it's the prettiest 997.2 RS to ever leave the factory.

I don't think the 991 market has affected the RS market all that much. Prices are still pretty strong all around, but certainly less than they were 2-3 years ago. Probably in line with the lull in the 997 GT market in general. That being said, I never understood the premium for a standard factory pallet paint job. Not like it was PTS. Signal green is great and all, but gimme a break.
