This RS looks REALLY good in the ad, and priced crazy low.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/302779654757?ul_noapp=true

This is the car in its previous configuration (for sale by the same dealer). Mods suggest that "pampered car" may be artistic license. That being said if it had a full wrap the paint is probably in great condition.

Definitely priced competitively and rightfully so. Missing stock centerlocks as it's been converted to 5 lug. Missing original ceramics, and has over revs in range 3. Would be a great buy for someone that actually drives these cars as Doug stated that the paint theoretically should be in great condition since it was fully wrapped. Also has some mods already done to the car.

Swap to 5 lug is a huge upgrade for anyone who tracks their car. The biggest bummer for me on that car is the missing buckets and mods. I would have wanted it with all of the track stuff if I was going to buy it.

I'd be lying if I didn't say I was considering buying this car and swapping all my mods, effectively returning my car back to stock.

Ugh.

Anyone know any stories behind the black 997.1 gt3 at JBA motors in Mesa AZ, it has been for sale forever. They claim super clean but the length of time on market is interesting, I’d say price is a touch high but nothing else screams it unless these were all track miles and there has been some paintwork or other stories that I’m not privy too?

I sold that car back in 2011 with 11,500 miles. The buyer did almost all of the upgrades you see pictured at Premier Sportscar Service in Las Vegas. The car was offered back to me in 2016 by the same owner but we were a couple grand apart on price. It ended up at L&L Auto but with the GT2 bucket seats and aftermarket wheels. 18k miles at the time. I do not know the owner between 18k and present, but knowing the first two owners and the quality of upgrades done, I would take a stab at it but not without a full inspection. It has been tracked, kind of obvious given the upgrades.

the Aqua/White Gold RS from Merit Partners that is up on BAT is only at $116k with about 2hrs.
i'm sure the 29k miles is a factor and Merit has had it listed for some time, but still seems quite low.

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...-911-gt3-rs-2/

edit: looks like the bid battle has begun. up to $128k now.
doesn't say "no reserve" so will be interesting to see if sale goes through

edit2: reserve not met at $129k. and high mileage GT3 RS owners breathe a sigh of relief....

FWIW, Merit was asking $153k for the car. Looks to be a clean example, perfect for someone like me who actually puts some miles on his cars. I bid up to $128k and was prepared to take a stab at $135k but ultimately decided against it. With so many RS' on the market right now, I doubt this car is going anywhere any time soon so I'm not in a rush.

Not sure if this 2010 GT3 at Danbury Porsche has been discussed yet but I was in the area and checked it out today. Some notes from my quick overview:
- It's a pretty bare bones spec as illustrated in the build sheet.
- Overall the paint was in ok to good condition - there was some sloppy touch up paint on the hood and roof and some other minor paint chips throughout (sometimes it's hard to tell though with black whether it's dust or a paint chips without going over it more finely). But the touch up paint globs were obvious.
- There is no PPF anywhere except the stock fender strips.
- Pipes have not been pinned or welded.
- Interior looked good - there was a little scuffing on the driver side door sill as seen in the pic. Could just be embedded dirt though and perhaps able to buff it out.
- I didn't have a chance to test drive it as the dealer would only let me if I agreed to the asking price, lol (overall, one of the worst dealer experiences I've ever had but I'll save that for another thread). IMO, a good car at the right price, maybe at least $15k lower. Salesman said they are firm on the $130k. I believe it's been there for a couple months now.

I figured I would post here because I have been watching for a few years now and watched this thread pretty regularly. I am sure this is well known but if anyone is talking to Doug (switchcars) on a vehicle he has some of the highest standards and helped me locate my perfect GT3... maybe a little too perfect honestly.

I am in the auto industry myself and hold myself to some pretty high standards but he was very persistent, knowledgeable and honest. He has also helped me locate vehicles to sell to clients through my dealership. Please buy with confidence if you see a car of his and don't be afraid to ask him questions.
