How many heat cycles do these NT01 have left?
For all you seasoned NT01 users how many more heat cycles do you think these will last before they cord? 997.1 GT3 stock power levels at COTA in instructor run groups. They are 315/30/18 rears. Never used these before so not sure how dead they are. I hear they are fast till they cord, question is, how long till that happens?

Those tires have more than half their original tread depth, and they don't heat cycle out. You have a few days left in them for sure. You'll have just 2 circumferential grooves at 3/32nds.

Thanks. I bought the rears on some used CCW wheels and the fronts were dead so I bought brand new fronts. The fronts look like they at least double if not more tread compared to the rears now after 3 track days.
Here's how the rears looked 13 sessions ago (3 track days). They look considerably more used up now as you can tell by comparing the pics. Pardon my hand being in the way.
I was thinking based on reading here people are getting 50 cycles. It doesn't look like I'll get anywhere near that. I'm guessing the rears had maybe 4 heat cycles on them (1 day) in the pic below and now 3 more track days later they look like they have maybe 15% life left?
I did spend a few cycles trying to dial in pressures and the rear was pretty loose, sliding a lot so that probably accelerated the wear a bit.

I can get 12-14 days out of rears 4 sessions/day...it seems everybody else on here gets a lot less than that(maybe that's the payoff for being slow???)
I do move them from side to side after every day.
I would flip those on the rim and could get 4 more days maybe.

Nitto's don't get really good until they are just 2 grooves left and nothing else. There's still a good bit left in those tires as Serge stated.
I think the surface will ultimately determine heat cycles...that and proper alignment. I can get 50 cycles out of them at Mid Ohio but I can only get 20 out of them at Putnam Park just a few hours away. In general expect double the life of a Hoosier.
That said, you're going to kill those on the inside edge way before the rest of the tire is gone. Are you driving them to and from the track??? If not you have too much rear camber in the rear of the car.

Lots of life left. Mine last a bit but I'm slow too :-)

I do need to get my alignment checked though. The rear of the car is a bit loose for my taste.
Would you guys drive these tires to/from the track if there may be a chance of rain in the forecast or is that suicidal? One time I drove my Elise to an event on A6 Hoosiers and it poured, made for an interesting 30 mile journey home.
Are NT01's directional, if I flip can I still drive on the street without them being excessively loud?

They say directional but I find no performance [lap time, street noise, etc] difference in running them the wrong way.
Also, anecdotal evidence on the forum suggests that the number of head cycles drops if street driven as well.

If you are driving them that explains the wear and alignment is prob not an issue. Flip them on the wheel and continue.
Fwiw -2.3 to -2.4 is ideal camber for them on the rear.
Wouldn't drive them in the wet if there is standing water.

Agree as above with flipping on the rim and keep using til you see cord- no difference in performance. When u get a new set, given the street use, just flip more often so that one side doesn't wear significantly more than the other.

Three Wheelin'
From the pic above I would not run fast in pouring rain. Light rain sure. Tread direction is for water dispersion. Otherwise you can flip these tires all day long.
Have fun.

Thanks all. Praying for no rain as I plan to drive these 200 miles each way in a few weeks. I need to find a tire trailer solution or something.
