Car is 100% stock/OEM with the exception of the GMG roll bar added by the original owner. I'm happy to answer any questions from serious parties.

Interior
Like new
Never smoked in
Have all books/manuals/keys
No Wart or 3rd eye on Dash-Mooty option :-)
Stripper car- other than floor mats=lighter weight!

Mechanical
New OEM Front Rotors and all New Pads
6 miles on brand New Weissach Motor at cost of $79,601 covered under CPO NEVER any over-revs above type 2-ZERO now
Michelin Pilot Super Sports have 900 miles on them
Certified Pre-Owned Warranty good through 10/2016
VERY well maintained and tons of Maintenance Records/History

Things that need attention
GT3 RS Wheel Cap-fell off and am ordering
Windshield- has small rock chip-am fixing
Chin spoiler-has typical scrapes and I may replace as it annoys me, but know I might scrape it again!

Again, the engine is brand new from Weissach with only 6 miles on it so it is not even broken in. It is NOT rebuilt, but is complete and the same as it came from the factory in 2010 at a cost of $79,601 (I have receipt). So basically like getting a brand new car with peace of mind that you get to start fresh with it.

I'd bet cam actuators failed and boom. Porsche really ought to do a recall on these.

That or the intake resonator... that was my guess.
Plenty of 997.2 have had this happen and gotten new or repaired engines.
New engine wouldn't scare me on this car.
SO TEMPTING.

OP are you looking for a 991, 997.1, or 997.2 cup car? if .1, checkout chromium24 in cup car section. Its clean and well maintained, with spares, at an attractive price. I think he's asking ~65 with the spares. Higher hours on motor but runs great, and with the price he's selling you'd have LOTS of $ leftover even with a refresh cost, for tires and other goodies.
There are lots of shops here in socal that can do a refresh.
His car will be at the festival of speed next weekend. Lots of local shops will be there too to check it out with you.

Thanks for the info on the cup and I'm thinking 997.1 or 2 , but need to do more homework as this would be my first cup...Yippee! I'm concerned about the cost of ownership/rebuild but only plan on taking it to the track 5-8 days a years, so I figured I'd get plenty of years out of it.

As far as the engine failure in my RS, I'm not exactly sure as it all started with them replacing the RMS 4 times as it kept leaking (more than normal), which was a result of crankcase vacuum being off. After doing a leak down, one of the cylinders was down on compression (95 PSI I think) and they found metal fragments inside when using a boroscope. The weird thing is the car still ran fine and no check engine light, it just kept leaking oil out the RMS due to improper vacuum.

I'll read through the paper work to see if they mention anything about the intake resonator or cam actuator. Below is the $79K receipt....yikes, the cost of a gently used cup car!

My RS is going into the dealer to replace the center muffler...should I ask them to check/replace the cam actuators?
