Default GT2 Newbie Question

My new-to-me GT2 arrived yesterday. The car was pretty well optioned ($215 sticker) but I don't believe it has Satellite radio. Is that something readily added and a reasonable price? Dealer only or is there a "module" that can be purchased and added by any shop? Thanks.

Aftermarket modules exist. Instead of getting satellite radio, why not get a bluetooth module, and run music/entertainment apps via phone/tablet etc? If you really want sat radio you can get a xm/Sirius module for the home and get the app to use over bluetooth.

I too was amazed that my GT2 had no blue tooth ,no nav and no iPod connection. What I did find out was all that stuff was an option !I find that funny based on the cost of the car.The coolest option on my car is the Carbon package.I do have a friend who is installing an iPhone /ipod adaptor.Suncoast has one for sale for our cars. They also have the GT2RS front spoiler which is nice.Enjoy your new car!I have totally fallen in love with mine! Its the best deal out there for a low production kick *** Porsche! My 02!Also check the date on your tires!I found mine to be 7 years old.Tires are junk after 3 years no matter how few or many miles on them.Discount tire had the best deal FYI
Best of luck Ron

GT2's are based on the earlier 7.1TT MY '07 and '08 and missed the later upgrades in the 7.1TT MY '09 (new PCM). Very basic...

If you guys want to make any sort of audio/BT/phone updates to your GT2 then cruise the 997 Turbo forum or post. Lots of clever upgrades.

The GT2RS has the newer PCM...

For a 2008 GT2 this is your best bet: https://rennlist.com/forums/997-turb...pcm-2-1-a.html

Good man, good man.

Nothing like discussing which tire is better for which situation - and for those F1 Nuts running out there it's hard to discuss replacing their stock tires with MPSS instead of some sort of Pirelli... The argument will never end but was it ever suppose too. Besides that is for a completely different forum.

Mine has add-on XM module which is selected through PCM. No nav module on mine - I'm never lost in my GT2 and if I am, I don't care :-). Congrats! Can't wait to see it. You will love the car.
