The more I look at these Singers, the less I like them. They are too 'nip and tuck', too 'let's do this, let's do that' from a virtual parts catalogue'.. They strive to imitate porsche's true spartan genes yet they try too hard. The interior are too luxurious, it's all a little too posh and fake, not raw or pure enough.
These are not Porsches, they are Singers and all they do well, is encapsulate the ethos of an era..

You would probably be more of a fan of a 1973RS replica.

I did think about it and contacted Singer 2 years ago with the idea of ordering one.. I bought a 1973 911S instead which is currently being restored. Hopefully it will be ready in the Spring

If I was looking for a car to put in a collection and drive to Cars and Coffee, sure it would be a real S, a SWB one. But if I want a driver? The Singer would be preferable to an original long hood for so many reasons.

As a driver I would want the Singer to take out and play with it along with using it for grocery getting and commuting around town.
I would love a SWB S or even a LWB S but they would not be the car to take out and beat on in anger when you want to really drive like you could with the Singer.
Anybody seliing their Singer??
