Just looked it up and VW uses them for diesel and gas engines, so I figure our Pcars have it as well, just didn't dig much to verify...

Waiting on the new harmonic dampener... And the CF 4.0 manifold... Everything else is done. I'll try to get some pics of the engine going together. Now I'm trying to decide between a full Syvecs S8 setup with flex fuel to run it or tune the stock DME...

I was wondering about that. I had read the 3.6GT3RS uses the same injectors as the turbo. So I did some duty calcs and we should be OK up to 560hp or so...

What duty cycle are you seeing with your stock injectors?

Hi
They are open as long as possible to have them open so the next step is changing
This is so that it starts to get lean at 7500 rpm so how you will get the injectors
be enough to 560 so the fuel pressure is increased and it is what you do with the turbo
At lower out tempraturer with more oxygen in the air so it's not good to drive the car over 7000 rpm for the fuel is not enough and then start eating up materials you know what I mean.
I do not think the injectors enough to 560 hp
Here in Sweden, it is a bit colder so I need to replace injectors now we will change the cylinder head to 4.0 and a little more on the intake.

Long long overdue update:

Engine is done and at Gerber Motorsports up here in Seattle in Charles' capable hands. I have both a stock 4.0RS plenum coming just in case there are more delays on the 4.0RS CF plenum that is being put together.

I have a bunch of pics from the engine build that I will try to get put up.

Other things going on:

We're testing exhausts between 2 of Charles designs and one from M&M. Once the car is together and broken in we'll spend some time on the dyno checking these out. I'll let you know the hows and whys once we have the results.

Tranny is being gone through, going with a Guard Pro diff, a 3.89 R&P and likely cup car synchros as after 47,000 miles of mixed street and track, I'm sure they're ready to go.

Power steering hoses started to leak at the reservoir. So I decided to make my life easier as the car ages and yank them all out and replace with an RSR electric pump and two lines from the pump to the rack in the front of the car.

All aluminum side radiators going in to match the PWR aluminum center radiator going in

A Syvecs S8 ECU is being readied so that as we continue to tinker with things on this beast, we can tune it easily and see what's going on. E85 is a possibility and the stability/traction control possibilities are quite cool... Will have John Reed of John Reed Racing in Portland doing the tuning on it along with the guys from Syvecs...

Eddie put a deal together I couldn't pass up on a full Carbon Fiber Grand AM style front end, rear bumper, decklid and RSR wing. So all of this will be getting installed after the engine is broken in. Will be running 10 - 10.5" wide E88's with 275's on the front and 335's in the back... Also converting from my Manthey KWv2's to MCS remote reservoir.

Lots of stuff will be for sale coming up
1. M&M Rear center muffler and side delete pipes
2. GT3 Exhaust Cams, Ti Rods, Crank Shaft, Pistons, etc...
3. Front and Rear 997.1 RS bumpers
4. Front 997.1 turn signal/fog lights
5. KWv2 Manthey coil overs
6. And more as we figure it all out!

If anyone knows of a center console available let me know may be interested as I may go with a CAE shifter as well...

That's all for now!

Jamie,

Are you going with the stock 4.0RS intake manifold?

Also I have 2 stock plastic center console with some scratches that can easily be painted or resprayed that i will let go super cheap.

PWR are $1k per, $3k per set.. they state it will lower operating temps by 15ºC.

They are much sturdier too as they have metal connections as opposed to plastic like oem

Mobonic, PM me a price for the used center console, crappiest condition one is fine...

PJ, the sides are from GSR autosport, copies of the stock ones, so correct fitment, just in all aluminum. My Center is PWR, contact Eddie, he can get them. I got mine used slightly used as my stocker had a small weepy hole. For the PWR center a little trimming of the housing is necessary, but to me very worth it...

Yeah, we have a CF version we're having made, and I went with the post recall stock one as a back up in case it doesn't come together. The diffusers on the side are substantially different that the 3.6 or 3.8...
