no one is going to hold anyone up at DMTD at COTA. Unless you are Izzone, everyone will hold him up. The rest of us will give/get pt-by in the corners. If you see Izzone's white RS in your mirror do not let him pass you. lol

- Point-by are designed to keep DE rookies from knocking off other DE rookies on a racetrack.
- Point-by are designed to save gas and improve fuel economy.
- Point-by are designed to allow DeputyDog to keep up with the Gold DE Cup, by blocking the entire Gold DE Cup group from passing.
- Point-by are designed to allow Izzone to keep up with the Platinum DE Cup, by blocking the entire Platinum DE Cup group from passing.

Personally, I don't give point-by when driving the Fiat, the Aero Beetles cannot keep up with the mighty Italian kit-car.

if open passing.....im game.....if finger passing......I wait for the pass. You never know what the other person is thinking in the car in front of you. He could have a coach in the side seat discussing the corner (at a slower pace) asking you to do something different and someone who ignores the rules comes flying by on his hero lap....ive had it happen to me

i once had a guy in a 7 3 in front of me and he had a coach. i was waiting for point-by for a few corners, then he slowed down some more, moved to the side and the coach gave me the point-by out his window, i go to pass into corner and driver turns in front of me. just missed.

This aint the place to debate point-by's. You wanna do that then go to your local PCA DE. This is David Frickin Murry. This is for big boys wearing big boy pants. Well, except for the chick in my avatar, Sly, who will driving a GT3 at COTA with us.

Okay drovers. We got 40 already. This is the priority list when this thing goes active. We are expecting it to be sold-out. Total number of participants has not been decided yet, could be 60 to 80.
Once we have a date, priority will be given to those on the list first. I will keep adding drovers in the order in which I hear from you.
We are in touch with DM and he is trying to get a date from the COTA peeps. As soon as he knows, we will know, and we will post it here first.
Special thanks to Mark Pfeffer of MVP for helpful info regarding renting the track from COTA.
