Lap times should be used as a tool and a little trash talking is OK too.. My concern is with others that I have seen trying to be as fast as DE Cup guys and do not have the seat time, natural talent or are not willing to get the proper coaching..

If you can repeat a lap time for three laps plus then its real. You should be working towards skill set improvement that you can use each lap. That being said one lap flyers are scary cool.

I have no idea where all this is coming from.... What did I miss?

Sounds like you guys are pointing the fingers at someone but not nutting up and saying who.

If you're scared because I'm the fastest guy to ever run Sebring just say so

That's assuming you can get 3 clean-ish laps in a single session, much less 1.

I was just thinking its not often in a DE where you can get clean laps on a consistent basis

Following somebody to learn their lines and improve your driving is one thing but riding their bumper trying to get them to make a mistake is WRONG ( I have seen enough videos of this posted by the DE Cup participants where driving in their mirrors has come close to taking each other out )

Most of us are Type A personalities and very competitive which is OK but that competitiveness should be directed to either racing or TT where the rules are clear and everybody on the track is on the same page.
I could care less about lap times. I would rather we all run in a big group together on the track and see where we shake out. My funnest times in DE (on the track driving that is) were last winter at PBOC SuperSolo Winterfest when we had 10+ GT3/RS with similarly skilled/competent drovers all bunched up running together. I fondly remember being about 6th or 7th in the train as we lapped Sebring. Nose to tail, running hard. Bunching up into 7. Fanning out all over 17. Scattered down the main straight and then coming together for 1. A lttile bit of traffic would bunch us up and man was it fun with open passing as we shared the track with others not at our speed. No one went off, no one came close to spinning much less hitting anything/anyone. Fantastic. What a rush.
