Default Exhaust Sound

Does anyone know of a way to have the sport exhaust on all the time with the option of turning it off only occasionally, like at the track due to noise restrictions? I have the Sharkwerks rear muffler delete and love the sound so much without the side mufflers that I would rather it be the "default" all the time, even at lower rpm.
Will the solution trip the PIWIS to a fault code.

Happy Thanks Giving to All You in the US of A.

You can disconnect the valve controller so it is open all the time. Otherwise the flap opens at 3k w sport on and 4k wo sport. Correct me if I am wrong. Hope that helps

Thanks for the reply.
When you say disconnect the valve controller do you mean the electrical plug or the vacuum line? If it is the vacuum line should I be putting a small air filter on the end? Also will this throw some faults?

It is an electrical plug. See the below link of a helpful shot of it.

The electrical plug, very easy to do. You will not throw any faults.

It DOES throw an exhaust-valve specific code. And the fault count goes up every time you start the car. There's no CEL if that's what you mean.

Any dealer worth his salt will spot the mounting error count at your next service. Won't cause you any problems with warranty but be prepared to explain.

I am sure when they hear my FabSpeed race exhaust they will understand! Thankfully my dealer is mod friendly.

great input, thanks. Pardon my ignorance, but what is a CEL? My dealer as well is onboard with this. Will try it out.

I have mine unplugged on .1RS, no codes or faults.

My dealer commented about it, and said "you should be careful because it reduces the back pressure all of the time this way..."

I wasn't buying, it's still unplugged...

PS - the pics are spot on, and it is really easy, even for wanna be techs like me.

For those curious, this is what your error code looks like in PIWIS:

We sell a "PSE remote control" that allows you to open and close the exhaust valves by remote.
The "loud" setting does the same as pulling the plug, but this device also allows you to close the valves at any time.

Till the end of the year we offer it with free shipping

Anyone know as to whether or not having the valves open all the time causes problems with damage to the exhaust valves or other issues?
I have looked into Carnewal and it is intriguing to say the least for convenience etc.. Anyone out there installed this system? If so do faults come up?
With some info in favour of this device and I would do a DIY on it for review.

Here is a quick solution:

https://rennlist.com/forums/gt2-and-...ix-how-to.html

member Mikymu did a DIY with a dash mounted switch, but I can't find the post. It was a great set up where you could toggle the exhaust valves on/off with the switch.

I have the Carnewal switch on my car with the Sharkwerks bypass and I love it. Close it when you want to be quiet on low db track days, motorways etc and open it up when you want the noise. Best of both.
