    Hi Henry,

Thanks for your reply. I've always wanted a Ferrari ever since I got my drivers license. In fact I had posters up in my University dorm. I promised myself I will buy the 328 and as the years went by I thought I will get the F355. As I got married and had kids, the dream grew further away! My brother owned the F355 (not in UK) and he sold it for the 993RS. He said I shouldn't bother with the F355 as it is not as sharp as the RS in handling. SO really, it leaves me with F430 or CS. I think the CS sounds amazing and is a far more exclusive car than F430. As it happens the RS has gone up significantly in price that I can probably get into the CS without selling my organs if I sold the RS. The problem is that I am likely to prefer manual shifter even if it is slower - far more involving. The other issue I guess is that an RS with an equivalent mileage to the CS is likely to hold the value better.
Do you live in Scotland or did I misunderstand your post?

    Hi Harry

Well its a tough one really. The RS is a bonafide piece of Porsche history and I adore it especially as mine has 340bhp, shortened gears, etc To drive it is so direct and communicative but as standard they are not very fast and are 'just' a 911 to most people (not to me though!) .

The Stradale feels very special with all the carbon and the general look and sound. At first it feels a little remote although very direct but it feels in a different league from the RS overall and is a truely great car. If I could only keep one it would be the Stradale but then I dont use the cars that much I tend to take them out for a quiet back road thrash around Scotland and for that the Strad is great!

I hope this has been some help but basically the Strad is an event everytime you drive it and the F1 box is fine although I would still prefer it in manual, the shift are amazing and the downshift noises are heaven!

    Hi,
Managed to find your post. I'm toying with idea of the Challenge Stradale. It does mean I will have to part with the 993RS. I am not sold on the F1 but unfortunately, the only modern Ferrari I seem to like is the Stradale. What is your opinion on both cars as you own both you will be able to give a direct comparison unlike some people who do not own both and I don't think they are able to give an informed opinion in my view. I hope you can help.
    Many thanks.
