nice pistol, i have a great fondness for 1911 guns, carried one in two wars. I have a variety of them, different calibers, and reload for them, too. I also like Browning HighPower 9mm's, and the 380 guns. I just can't start now with revolvers, just too much there for me to dive into. Sounds like you have a great gun, i just can't acquire anymore now, I have given some of mine to my son and his wife, and my daughter. Why don't you look up some opinions on your 1911 on the vintage or military forums on the 1911 forum, i am pretty active there, I will try to attach a link, you can get some opinions on your pistol there, and I would love to see a picture of it.
