I don't think there's anything wrong with disconnecting them. Mine are always open.

Its possible that Porsche intended to give you this option. That's why they default to "open" on the .2. They defaulted to "closed" on .1.

The "loud" setting does the same as pulling the plug, but this device also allows you to close the valves at any time.

Till the end of the year we offer it with free shipping

Perfect setup for those suffing sound restrictive tracks Even better with a center delete like Sharky.

Luckily we have no such nonsense or emissions in Florida. We have an ocean breeze to keep things clean for the birds.

You can easily disconnect the Vacuum line from the valve and zip tie it to the side without hurting anything at all. Depending on what your using the car for, you can also get our side muffler bypass pipes which will eliminate the side mufflers. This will save over 36+ Lbs off the rear end and hook right up to your existing exhaust setup. It will also speed up the exhaust gases as they exit the headers so you have less back-pressure and improved exhaust flow.

Pm me with any questions you have or for special member pricing.
Thanks

I have the carnewal switch as well and haven't had any codes trip. I've also taken the car into two local dealers and they never had any issues with it. It's a life saver when pulling out of the garage early in the morning.

After having stock, CUP, and center muffler bypass exhausts, I can say that the carnewal remote control is a great product.

I think one of the worst part of the 997 exhaust is the inability of the stock programming to leave the valves always-open or always-closed. I really don't enjoy the on/off switch at 3 or 4k rpm; the lack of exhaust sound under 3k rpm (like exiting a slow corner in 2nd gear); and downshifts not always audible at full song.

I really like the sound of the stock exhaust with valves open 100% of the time - as mentioned above, this is achievable simply by disconnecting the connecter in the engine bay. However, there is no simple way to keep the valves always closed for tracks with low noise restrictions. The carnewal remote makes this convenient.

+1 on that. I've used gert's switch thing for a while now and the nice thing is it's actually Open when you set it to open or closed when you set it to closed at all times

The remote Controller is a great piece if you still want to control it when you want. We also offer this controller setup which can be added to any vehicle running a valve controller exhaust. Here is our kit below.
