Wish nitto made a 305/35/18 so they would work with 997 cars

I still send them weekly emails asking for a 35 aspect ratio tire......I still get the usual canned response below....maybe one of these days.

"Thank you for contacting Nitto Tire.

Thank you for the size suggestion. We are looking into releasing more sizes in the future for the Nitto NT01. However, we do not have a set time frame or set list of new sizes to come. We will take your suggestion into consideration for Nitto NT01 size expansion.

If you have any other questions please feel free to contacting us back at any time.

Thank you,
Nitto Technical Department"

Also, FYI, the old ones were NOT fastest just before cording. That is an internet myth. Rather, that are 100% consistent right up until cording...which differentiates them from other R compounds that fall off aggressively...and thus folks thought they were getting faster simply because they were not getting slower.
Once the RA1 gets to the carcus, it gets slick....then it cords

I use a durometer to see when I get there

yep, that's when I start dropping front pressures...but there is a point of diminishing returns.

Actually, the orbit dive planes should actually help in these cases, and avoid running super low pressures which eat up the tires more. Hopefully.

Hey VR! In return for letting you drive my 4.0, I would like to send you 4 or 5 laps of data at Sebring for a given session. You can differentiate where I had to contend with traffic and where I didn't, and I would like your input. Next time I promise you can drive cuatropuntocero with shaved RA1s or Hoosiers and the car ("I promise") will feel a lot more grippy and a lot less loose. If okay, please PM me your email. Juan P

I tried NT01 Fronts with my RA1 rears, it's a great tire for sure! It has all the good parts of both RA1 and R888.

The sidewalls are stiff enough that the turn in is sharp, and do not need the break in period the RA1's need. Right out of the box they perform amazing!

I'm out of the game for now (if I make enough profit I may be back with a 996 stripper and a tow vehicle in a few years ), but I do wish Nitto will make them in 997 sizes for the rest of you guys.

I think you were faster with the 2007 GT3. That car ran 2:20 at Sebring, the 4.0RS ran 2:21 last time I saw it.

Too much power scare some people.
