+1....also helps to not try and set any DECup records on the outlap. I like those pressures on really hot days, but in the mornings and cooler days I try to preserve the tires and live with ~2lbs higher on both ends.

Hopefully those were the old RA1s. My friends who race in Spec911, are reporting that the current batch is different from the old. Whereas they used to shave them to 3 or 4/32nds and get 4 race weekends out of them, fastest right before they cord, with the new ones they can barely get one weekend out of them then they have absolutely no grip. They've noted the compound is different, softer and gummier like the R888. Then as you come to the wear bars, it's a different compound that has no grip, just as I found looking at the R888s in the sunlight as it was transitioning to the wear bars. We speculate that the new RA1s are just R888s in a RA1 mold, that the old RA1s were so successful and long lasting that Toyo regretted making them. What will happen is everyone will gripe how RA1s suck unless shaved, and when they find it doesn't last long, go back to running R888s, the other approved spec tire.

It does not get real cold here often but even going out on 24 all around I bleed all day to keep them under 34.
The next day if I'm lazy I go out barely over 20, come in a bit low after the first session wearing tires too much but fast. Second session is usually close enough.

128 total together with Clarke, Randy, Erik, Juan, Mike and Eddie.
I just did the ordering, financing and handle storage and distribution..
The 80 or 100 Randy ordered last year are all gone.

Also, FYI, the old ones were NOT fastest just before cording. That is an internet myth. Rather, that are 100% consistent right up until cording...which differentiates them from other R compounds that fall off aggressively...and thus folks thought they were getting faster simply because they were not getting slower.
