Take a look at Hot Laps (You Tube) 2012 Randy Probst driving for Motor Trend's test of the 2012 Boss 302 at Laguna Seca he states the handling is "amazingly good" and it is! TRAKCAR's comment is close.... the GT3 is a scalpel but the new Boss 302 is better than a sledge hammer. Ford Racing put a lot of time into this car and it shows. I raced a 1970 Vintage Boss 302 in HSR for 5 years and that is a sledge hammer! This car out of the showroom is good, I added Ford Racing Brake Ducts, Transmission Cooler and the Boss 302S open grill. That's it! This car is fun and parts are cheap. The motor can take a lot of abuse -- A side note, it does not have a single rattle and I treat her badly! Car comes with a 4 year 50,000 warranty.

Savy, do not confuse the street Mustang 5.0 Boss and Boss Laguna Seca with the 302S and 302R.
The 302S and 302R are ready for racing, equipped with all safety stuff, non-street legal, and fast. The 302R is running in Grand-Am in the GS class, they're running at the front with the E92 M3, 997.2 Carrera S 9A1 and a Chevy built Camaro track car.
At Homestead the 302R (Grand-Am setup) did 1:26.9. At VIR they are lapping in 2:03. Road America 2:26. Lime Rock 58 seconds. Watkins Glen 2:02.
The fastest GS car at Laguna Seca did a 1:35.9.
The GS class is running on a Continental Tire that really is a re-branded Hoosier slick.
The cheaper 302S is a little slower, I think the 302S is running in the Speed World Challenge.
302S and 302R are vastly faster than the street legal, heavy and decently fast Boss 5.0 and Boss 5.0 Laguna Seca. 302S and 302R come ready for track time, while the street car needs a lot of work.

$130k for a GTS...what options are you loading it up with?....more like $117k with the necessary go fast options.
$50k in upgrades to GTS?!?!?! Here is all that is needed:
rear roll bar from RSS $1400
harness $500
Coilovers (KW/Moton etc) $4500
Orbit Sway bars w/ drop links $1400
GT3 brakes $3500
M&M (fvd) side muff delete exhaust for large coffee grinder sound that is a must in coffee cup GT3DE series...$1500
with install probably around $13k
Yeah still not faster than your 430 Scud...which by the way sells for $200-230k used 2008-09 models not 150K.
GTS runs and runs and runs more laps than Fiat, owners can afford to fix GTS and not duct tape body parts back together...but soul glo does look better in a Fiat I've heard.

The fiat is at Orbit, it's cracking under pressure in the GT3DECUP!
Rose colored fiat glasses :-)

Tell Roger to patch up the cracks on the Fiat with Porsche stickers and put it outside...

Levitas was SLOW at the UTCC in the 7GT2. We ran a sub 2:00 in the 6GT2 in 2009
Boss ran a 2:29.1 at Sebring on PSS tires
Boss 302 brakes are OK just needed better pads than Hawk DTC 70 we wore them out in 2 track days. The Cobalt replacements are wearing much better. Boss down fall is the tranny which balks going into gear at high rpm when it gets hot on the track. Also they tend to run hot though I haven't had an issue yet.

Pete offered me the best deal on a 4.0 before he listed it, but just too late.
Orbit is rushing to complete my new car as it is.
I'm out. Just was not meant to happen now.
Need to drive the new 3.8rs first. Leaving for mancation in 3 weeks and I hope to get at least one test day in. I don't regret selling my car, great deserving buyer and with a fresh 800 mile RS I will be good to go for a while longer.
Also decided I can't buy 4.0 until I have driven a well sorted GT2 or GT2RS.
I will get nick wing drunk on Mancation and talk him into letting me drive the monster.

Nick, with all due respect I don't know how much experience you have in Sebring, and if you watch closely he's always on throttle very close to the apex, or at some points part it, the same way some of us drive. You can clearly see that in turn 3, 5, 7, 10, 15 A early on the throttle and flat thru the session.
I don't know how you can turn in and be on the throttle, maybe you can post a video so I can try to understand better what do you mean.
