This will be a blast.... I always find the 997GT3 board to be quite entertaining...

I would fly anywhere to watch this...

We do our best!

What is the difficulty here? We drive 45 minutes at each chin event. At open track weekends we do that, refuel and repeat. Last David Murray event we ran 700 miles.

That's more than the average fiat does in a year.

We're talking pennies on the dollar per track mile!

...and I have data comparing A6 to Michelin slicks, dream on for thinking they have similar grip, I have driven on them many times. Remember, I ran slicks for 4 years.

New Challenge (called at Winterfest and no takers): Best Aero Beetle lap + Best Fiat lap, this much worse drover against any of the much better drivers.

Warmup lap, 2 hot laps, a cool down. Next NASA Time Trials at Sebring. Takers?
Bring that Beast down. Just make sure your Boost hoses are tight.

I would certainly be game for coming to see this, and maybe bringing my car too and bringing a TTU lap record back with me. If there are enough people signed up for TTU I will consider donating a set of my lightly used Hoosier A6 to the cause for Peter to drive on (given that I would win some more).

I think the question is who are the better drivers. not which car is a bigger cheater.

RR is really inexpensive to rent during the week.

Good point, I assumed that the gents are level headed enough and advanced enough drivers to know when to dial it back and have control of the Red Mist. Having driven with some of them on track I think at least some of them know when to say when, but I also don't know how serious they are taking it. Should end with a laugh, some jokes and a beer over dinner at the end of the day.

Then furious and bitter arguing once they get back to the internet.....

I thought you and Ian were going to take that in your GT2 a couple of years ago? Didn't you run like a 2:14 on slicks or something at a NASA event?

LOL so true.

However, just the fact that this knockdown drag out double super duper pooper scooper throwdown was made makes me question your assumption....

VR - don't I recall a throwdown on Rennlist that you were involved in just a few years ago????

Maybe we need to start naming these epic events!

Well the best situation coming up for this is david murry April 10th at VIR. Open track all day and don't have to worry about traffic. Don't know if rad has ever been there though. Don't want to hear any complaints of not knowing the track
