Disc & Brake bed-in
My brake pads and discs are about toast.
Am preparing to mount my new Brembo III's as well as a fresh set of PS29 Yellows. Am currently running OEM discs and Pagid Yellows.
The discs have a pretty specific bed in procedure which I intend to follow, as do the pads.
Here's my question. Do I:
1) Mount the new discs, and bed them in using old pads, then mount the new pads, and bed them in on the new discs
2) Mount the new pads, bed them in on the old discs, then mount the new discs and bed them in using the new pads
3) Mount both together
Thanks!

Also about the bed in proceedure....I see race teams start out at driving around 5/10ths and pick it up on every lap....brake are then bed in.
I have put new disc's on with new pads...Pagid RS29 Yellows for front and RS14 Blacks for the rear and just drive normally to the track and do a light to medium 20 minute warm up session. I've never had an issue or noticed any difference than new rotors and used pads.

On a sort of related note, if one swaps pads in and out (stock pads for street use, Pagid yellows for track days) do the pads need to be re-bedded as stringently as Pagid recommends each time, or is a more gentle start slow and work your speed up approach sufficient?

Laertes: Work your way up to speed approach is all that is needed. The street pad material that is on the rotor's face needs to be brushed off by the track pad and the track pad material deposited on the rotor before you really start pushing in the brake zones. A lap or two gets the job done. The main reason for bedding pads in the first place is to put the pads through a heat cycle much like you do tires.

Why use a street pad? Just use whatever pad you use on and off the track. Unless you are running scary racing brakes that don't do anything when cold...

Because the Pagids squeal like a school bus, and rotor wear even when on the street seems about 5x faster than with stock pads. Since I swap wheels out anyways when headed to the track an extra two minutes per wheel to put in the pads isn't a big deal......
