Nice laps.

Fresh Hoosiers, 2nd gear in those 2 very slow corners and losing the passenger and you are 2.17 which is the time I thought you guys would get to (assuming no traffic).

Thanks Paul

I will try second gear today, I think it's slower. Time gained accelerating will be lost with time shifting. Even in third gear the back end is loose

You probably new fresh tires to do it. When I was there when the track was 1 yrs old I definitely was in 2nd on the two tight corners and with the stock r&p I was actually able to leave it in 2nd in the section connecting the two corners - I believe I was just getting to the limiter just as I had to brake for the uphill corner. Clarke's gt3 should be able to do it for sure. To be fast we were definitely almost dropping a right side rear tire in that very uphill 2nd gear corner.

There is a section of track that I remember Bruce showing me that was much faster than I thought was possible. It is the second loop out before you come to the first very slow 2nd gear corner that I'm talking about above. The entry into the first section of the corner after braking was way faster than I was doing - effectively like into the first section of Mosport #8. You have to be careful not to confuse the first loop with the second loop (it happens) but try to increase your entry speed into the first section of that corner - I just personally remember being astounded what you could do there.

Have fun - save the car for Tremblant - it is a fantastic track.

Never tried second gear

Got 2:17,5 then 2:17.9 in light traffic, little sloppy

2:16 is doable if not less

Talking Mini-Mancation

Just returned from my annual northern road trip, this time to LCMT (July 10-12) and Mosport (July 13-15). Great meeting many of you while at Mosport; especially getting caught up Jenk12M after such a long time! I didn't realize that Clarke and Sly would be there, which was also a nice surprise; sorry to hear about the RS and plans for another - please don't deplete the supply before I get one!

Chris - Fellow RedRSA instructor here; you have an RSA in your screen name and avitar, but not listed in signature. I saw another red RSA at the event; what were you driving at Mosport, and in what Run Group? I don't think I saw another RSA in Red Group.

Depending on the response to me question above, this was most likely me (#717); if so, thanks!

Again, if me, thank you! My car weighs in at about 2850#, definitely lighter than a 997 GT3. But significantly underpowered!

Thanks! My RSA is very well set up, and I've been driving it for 12 years. LOVE it, but ready to step up to a newer platform! Now, if I could just pry loose one of those three Guards Red 2011 GT3 RS's with silver wheels...

I'll add my appreciation of your fantastic photos; excellent! I'd like to forward a couple to attendees; I'll send a PM with contact info, thank you!

Wha...???? You're in a GT3 RS! Talk about cheaters in RS's, I'm in a 20-year old RSA with a whopping 240 HP!!!
