I don't think it is a matter of big HP, it is just plain missing driving skills and traffic management by a lot of Green/Yellow group drivers running in the Red group.
For instance, my 295Hp Cayman is a heavy car (3,250 lbs with driver), at Sebring, my top speeds are in between 132mph and 134mph prior to T17, or about 10mph slower than the 450+ Hp 3.8 GT3 RS, on the turns it doesn't lose much to the Aero Beetles.
In Clarke's videos, the speed differential is not 10mph, it is at least 40mph, that's not car's deficit, that's driver's deficit, poor traffic management, poor anticipation, missing qualifications for Advanced driver or worse an instructor.
Trains have zero business in an Advanced group, one needs to point-by early, use mirrors, get to know the cars around the track, share the track, there is no justification to have a car on your tail.
It was amazing driving and fun by Clarke, but painful and embarrassing to watch most of the others.

I've been following this thread. Who is coming to Tremblant next week? I'm looking forward to meeting you all! Track is open for trailer drop off as of 5 PM Sunday and the gates are locked at 10 PM. Tech line opens at 7 AM. You will sign track waivers at the gate and PCA waivers at the pop-up in front of the tower marked "Inscription".
Any of you need a quick lesson on how to drive Le Circuit, let me know and I'll get you a check ride
to speed up the learning process.
Best,

car in front entering corner at 50km/h and your getting it at 100km/h, talk about loosing the *momentum*. Not actual speed, but just to give you an idea.
My father was really pissed not to be able to get one clean lap.

Clarkey, that is some awesome driving on your part... Your confidence and mid corner corrections are fantastic... I hope to get half as good before I'm 100yo
