I have video of incredible closing speed into 8 thinking it was you cooling down and counting on you for the immediate point by. It was the older Targa and he was parking it right in front of me it was close, I think he never saw me or he's very brave.

Yeah, the speed differentials were insane in all groups... must be truly frightening in your beast. Even in my car, I kept catching slow guys at the worst bloody places (bottom of 4 and halfway down 2) and had to stand on the binders all the way down the hill. My ***-clencher moment of the weekend was when my left front tire blew just going over the hump on the approach to 8

Tell us more of what happened. I had a mechanical failure going into 8 in 2010 and was just plain lucky that I was following a very slow car at the time and was down 40-50km/h from the usual pace. What happened to your tire? What was the root cause?

We did have a discrepancy with the iPhone lap timer at road America. It registered a 25.9 but when timed we could only get a 27.6. Which was still a blazing time on toyo's

Clarkes car has headers and they make a difference as I barely had to lift for him to get around me. I believe this 27 to be true on slicks, but we'll wait till the video shows up
