I was just pulling the GT3 on trailer behind my Highlander - was very disappointed with how slow the GT3 is in this configuration. Wasted my money. Should have bought a GT2 I guess.

is it time to re-start the discussion about the Z06 or the GT-R yet?

The GTR is the better car and you can soup them up real fast, but the midget doing the shifting for you is a but clumsy at parking lot speeds.

The ZR1 is OK, as long as you replace the brakes and get in with your eyes closed and replace the seats.

But they do do like 11 secs in the quarter mile, easy 2 secs faster then GT3.

exactly ... the GT3 is so ^%$#%$@ slow ...

really I don't know why Porsche or we bother with the 911 platform NA or FI when we cant compete with cars like these ...

Eddie; I said the GTR is the better car. Some people like midgets..

10.9 secs is like almost 11 secs right.

Larry, maybe the 918 will finally make Porsche competitive again, like the CGT, but some people really don't like the CGT, they are crazy twitchy and the cluts is a nightmare..

the 2012 GTR's have an improved midget ... they probably got a german one. tranny feels a lot better, and more civilized.
That's the car to the OP.

Imho I have a 997 GT2 for about 3 years now and still amazes me everytine I drive it, street or track.

However my brother just got a 997.1 GT3rs. I drove it a couple of times but on the street for now. I cant believe how you didnt love it !! The weight difference, throttle response, handling, sound, the whole package itself. This is only based on the streets, i'm affraid if I drove it on the track it may let me think of selling my gt2 !! thats how great it is !!

The gt3/rs is the best porsche ever other than the carrera gt.

If you couldnt find that in the gt3, sorry but you need to get a check up.

SWEET!!!

The 997 GT3(any variant) is on my short list of cars that I aspire to own.

Now, after reading the OP's comments I can save time and money by taking this car off my list.

Thanks OP...

I think you miss the torque of the GT2, an X pipe and ECU dealie isn't going to add much hp at all FYI.

i apologize, my english is poor.
i was not talking aerodynamic. i think hyrodynamics was the word i wanted and not necessarily speed, but the ability to glide into tight tunnels
