Very likely the OP drove a show car 997.1 GT3, 3,000 babied miles, not even broken in, very likely putting down 330whp while other 997.1 GT3 are close to 390whp.
A tight motor feels slow. My M3 V8 felt slow at the beginning, slower than my 335i, once the car was past the 8,000 miles it was crazy fast, properly broken-in.
I once test drove a F430 that felt very slow, but I resisted to post anything like this (like the OP did) in a Fiat forum.
My advice to the OP, test another GT3, one that has been driven properly. The 997.1 GT3 leaves the 996 GT2 in the dust at a racetrack with turns, unless the GT2 has been modified, the 996 GT2 is barely faster, so the tested 997.1 GT3 had a sad life as a boulevard cruiser with a tight engine.

but here u know who to hollar! no such worries and u know we dont fxxk around when it comes to driving.
but its raining all week, not very good for showing u how slow the 3 is.

thank u sir for ur insightful post, but i dont know where i said gt3 is slow on a track? or slower than my 2 on a track? theres no track here!
i said what i said after a drive, please all, read it couple hundred times more and i think u will understand im very passionate about porsche, but am disappointed on my short drive.
i didnt say the 3 was bad, just not impressed during that drive.
im sure it has to be good if i ever ship it somewhere with a track, because u ALL say so.
about the f430, i was totally blown away the first time i drove it, then i bought 3 including the scud. its so exciting to drive and it was even better than my 458, because i expected the 458 to be great, but i didnt expect to be shocked by the 430 after a 930 and gt2.
after 3 years reading, hearing, and so looking forward to driving a 997 gt3, i finally did, but was quite upset that im actually disappointed.
