Default Sport Chrono Pkg plus

I am ordering a 4.0 and I am not sure I or the dealer understands this option. Also the configurator is not crystal clear.

My question is this..With the Sport Chrono Pkg w/o PCM I know it comes with the timmer on the dash. But does it come with the adjustible suspension and sport button??
If I order the Sport Chrono Pkg plus it includes the nav (which I don't want) and for sure the sport button. Does the "Sport Button" do anything on the RS? I know it does in the 911 and Cayman.

I am confused on this option. Anyone have an absolute postitve understanding on this?

Thanks

You will get the sport button and adjustable suspension whether or not you order sport chrono. The GT3/RSs are unique in that Sport Chrono is not needed to get the sport button nor is the option needed to get the adjustable suspension. Besides most do not like the ugly dash wart as you apparently are aware. This is how it has been with GT3s and RSs so I would imagine it is the same with the 4.0 liter RS.

So I say skip sport chrono.

Skip it. Serves no purpose on a GT3.

Sport chrono ruins the dash.

+ 1. Had it on my 997S. Found it to be pretty useless. One thing I did like however is it allowed one to adjust items like the door locks and interior light brights etc.

sport button makes the valves open earlier and at idle and this in turn helps to manage back pressure thus more mid-range torque. ecu manages this. brochure reads the same for the .2s. exhaust note absolute volume is the same sport on or off.

On the GT3/RS if you don't order the Chrono, you get two buttons, a suspension button to firm it up for some tracks and a sports button that gives you the louder exhaust/different engine map for performance... Thus you're only missing out on a glorified lap timer as others have pointed out...

In the non GT cars without chrono you don't get the performance engine mapping so there is some benefit to taking it...

Give it a miss and spend the money on lap timing equipment if you plan on tracking! Good luck...
