I think you have a great color combo...if I were going PTS would be some shade of red with black wheels and no graphics.

orders for PTS had to be in last week.

Could not get signal yellow...tried really hard, no way they say, too difficult to paint (I know...) tried to get '07 RS orange, no longer available!!

So I went with the replacement or substitute pastell orange z17, very close has a little bit more yellow in it which I actually like even more.

So what else was ordered??

Very sorry to hear the Signal Yellow excuses continue. If anyone should get the 4.0 in Signal Yellow, it should have been you. Sadly, the same excuses came up when the 2RS was in production. And yet someone got a 997 dunked in the tank with Signal Yellow chemicals in the brew.



That car is not in the USA, so sure, there could be excuses about various market governments and their regulations limiting paint chemicals which coul mean the factory would have trouble painting the bumpers or whatever. It's all a bit flimsy.

I was told the signal yellow 3.8 RS you are refering to had to be painted twice and clearcoated...similar to the problems they had with my '08 RSR. Still miffed and seeing the picture of the signal yellow again makes me wonder if I didn't push hard enough....

Oh well it's just a car.

I know Michael Hack of Porsche Exclusive personally. He is the writer of the information given to Cayman Re: PTS z17 on that email. Both him and Sascha Glaeser have helped me with the '12 Spyder which I ordered and was just built in Zuffenhausen this past week (one of the last to be produced)! No, I couldn't get PTS since I missed the one week deadline back in March. But there is nothing I love more than PTS and that is what I will order on my next Porsche - a 991!
