See me this weekend....I can set you up

For the record......I dont mind the CL at all. I actually kind of like them

Buy a truck brake pedal depressor, and they are simple

And yes I change wheels all the time.....car is 6 week sold with 8 track days

Exactly..I see both points, but making the CL's out to be THAT much harder to change just doesn't seem like the best argument. Functionality, no added benefit of 5-lug, fine, valid points...but they look great and didnt take my Dad and I any longer to change. The only difference was we didnt use and impact gun - big deal - also ensures I dont accidentally strip one!

Also, to buy the multiplier, a big torque wrench and a breaker bar was around 800 bucks I think....seems like a pretty negligible price to pay in comparison to the cost of the car.

I got a set of black's delivered from Suncoast today. wrapped and delivered to them directly from Germany this week. New serial number and pre-greased from the factory, but no other visible difference that I can see without disassembling them. I haven't done that yet. I was having problems with the prior set (red and delivered as the nut only and not assebled) being very stubborn to get off when hot (at the track), and wanted a new set in black anyway. Turns out the prior (red) set had been assembled (prior dealer) without the steel shim which was the likely source of that problem and discovered when I disassembled them for cleaning and re-greasing aafter the recent problem.

Doesn't really help answer the bigger question, at least not yet.

I asked the service mgr at Sonnen, he confirmed that the parts have been superceded in PET, but he can find no TSB etc associated with this.

I learned today that there is some sort of recall on the CL. Not sure what it entails yet.

A friend of mine has a recall on his gen2 RS for the center locks. He didn't know what it is exactly about but he'll ask next week when he's at the dealer.
