Default Knock knock knocking!

Had a fun time at track day yesterday.

Went for a little drive today and the car is making all sorts of knocking noises front and rear - normally I would think it's the brake pads, but for me there is too much knocking. If it's any help in guessing the problem, the knocking is bloomin awful on brick pavior roads! Car is Gen 2 rs, 7 months old, 7800kms.

Will get the car checked out for sure, but thought I would ask here.

Check sway bars, usually my cause for clunking and clattering.

It's that green thing hanging from your rearview mirror that bangs around.

I agree with the comments above. If you have readjusted the sway bars, check the end links at the sway bar. Then check the front upper hats and the rear upper shock mounts.

Did u adjust bars at the track? That's probably the culprit. Mike

Strangely the exact same thing started to happen to me on Wednesday.. I went nuts, called the service manager at the dealer and he confirmed that I don't need to worry about it..

I believe both of us got our sway bars adjusted last month at the track...

When he said nothing to worry about - did he not at least say bring it in for us to check???? Mine is really bad so will be getting it looked over at MSW.

Have your tires arrived yet?

My knocking was front rotors. Changed and the noise is gone!

Sounds like something really serious. I think you should consider selling the car

Seriously, I hope it gets sorted out quickly

- I might well sell!

Yes knocking sorted MSW just tightened up some bolts on the adjustment bars.

However, something MUCH more serious found..... see new thread....
