Has anyone of you been at the Ring last weekend? Seen two 997 GT3 with US license plates and spoken to a very nice person at the ticket counter.

I was there Sunday and Monday, but have no US plates. Sunday was a bit of a mad house (busy/closures etc..). I did not see the "very nice person"?....What car did you drive?

Have only been there at Saturday. The very nice person was a visitor from the US that I spoke to, not some short-dressed girl selling the tickets.

Then you should have been at Sears last weekend or yesterday; track was sticky as can be and a lot of fun with no traffic. CFRA event. Two and half hours on track and I was exhausted. Tried out some A6's instead of R6's just for an experiment. They have a lot less grip. Still better than Sport Cups and they don't overheat -- fully 30 minute sessions without the tires complaining.

Too early to call Larry! It is improving every day, only 11% chance of rain right now!....

Sears has about 20 turns, and some I double apex ... those A6's don't stick like R6's. : ) Anyway, my short term memory is bad and AADD kicks in, so every three laps, I forget I'm even on track and start looking for a Peet's coffee shop, then it all starts over again ... my own personal Ground Hog Day ... lap after lap ... that's the joy of Alzheimer's ... you're always meeting new people ...

fingers crossed ... last time I drove the Ring in the wet you could see the "rooster tails" of water from the tyres in the rear view mirror going up kesselchen to klosterthal!

I still have nightmares about the .1 spinning out in front of me at Hocheichen and then again in metzgesfeld in the same lap!

on-track Peets ... I see a franchising opportunity here!
