probably not surprisingly but i do same exact thing.
from what i saw in the video it looks blip should be made when clutch pedal is about 1/3rd on its way back. it probably makes sense.

at NHMS in turn 1 one ideally should start on second gear and go into 3rd at 2b but I personally almost never manage to go over 4-3-2 downshift before diving into this 1st corner, at 3rd gear it means having about of 4K rpm going in, not overly too low but probably low enough to be incorrect. but when I start braking about mark 2 there on straight going above 110 mph I do not manage to downshift fast enough. if I go slower on straight or start braking way earlier it gives more time of course but it is also 'not right'. go figure.

if i am not mistaken he has auto blip in that car, or may be i just cannot see his foot well. my gearbox would probably disintegrate from such an abuse on a second lap.
kinda odd to see a H pattern gearbox in a cup car. i thought they all were fit with sequential gearboxes by default.

996 Cup has the same setup as the street car (non-sequential, 997 Cup is when they run sequential box..), but with different R&P and gear ratios.. no auto-blip here.. it is all driver... !!

I don't think his car is faster.. at some straight, you can see that some car would pull in front of him.. I think Leh was probably just a faster driver (I think that's from PCA club race)

i also wonder about that when I get to be a passenger in an instructor`s car.

still his cup was definitely very sticky in the corners, most other cars in that video had to slow down way way more than he did. great to see good driver in a fast car. I do not think I would ever go to 10/10th where car slides like this at WG in my own car - there is AX for that, for all those slidings and spins, imho it is not that much fun to smash at a wall at WG not even thinking of costs to get car towed back to MA from there.

but a guy who knows and enjoys driving 10/10 will pass guy who goes 8/10 probably about like this - 'much faster', fast in, fast out, at proper gear with best rpms for max acceleration out of the corner. very impressive video, I would say it is even more impressive to see how he handles traffic fisrt 2 minutes or so, flying like a jet around cones. very cool indeed.

if you go towards the end, say at 7 minutes when the cars pass the finish line and are on the cool-down, is that miky's cup that came 2nd? looks similar......

Very cool.. the blip has to be even faster as one shifts faster with the sequential box (just push it forward, instead of moving in H-pattern)!!

Here's another sequential box footwork video. Like the brake footwork - smooth, progressive release.
