JC can take that SLS AMG and shove it up his ****...
That thing doesn't stay on the road!
He said the GT3 is good, but RS is no better. He clearly doesn't know what the hell he's talking about.
BTW I think 458 looks hideous so no wonder it drives better than it looks
F430 Scud was the best looking Ferrari ever!

Awesome, thanks for sharing.
I like Clarkson. He's a fun dude. Sometimes his logic escapes me but other times he's brilliant. And he's not a proper drover but I can't think of anyone who has more fun behind the wheel. I wish I had his job.

Clarkson has no ambitions of being a racing driver. His driving is nothing special and he know this. He doesn't care.
To understand his conclusions you need to understand his perspective. I will not reach the same conclusions as him but I am a track day geek. JC is not. I would never even look at an Aston Martin, for example. If it can't be driven for 3 straight days of 400 miles/day at the track then it's useless to me. I'll have something simpler for the road.
People attribute too much power to him in his ability to form purchasing decisions. That's rubbish, as he would say. If anyone buys a car purely on the recommendation of Top Gear then they have no brain.
But I do love the show for it's ability to show each car's real essence. It's a lot of fun.

According to the UK sales you are probably right, some of the cars they recommend are on the bottom of the sale list and some they hate are on top.
I honestly don’t believe that anyone should base his decision to buy a car on a TV show.
But what they do influence, is the perception of certain cars and their owners, and as most stereotypes some of them have no real connection to the truth.
I do love the show, his sense of humor and his political incorrectness, but I would never take his advice on a car.. For god's shake his drive a convertible Merc..enough said. : )
