Default GT3 vs Turbo Article

Very good comparison of the GT3 and the 911 Turbo in the latest issue of WindingRoad. Should help answer the question that seems to get asked on this forum about once a week.

I agree, excellent article. Really does capture the difference between these cars.

I thought it was a very well written article, as it did an excellent job of describing the differences between the cars, both objectively and subjectively. The objective part is pretty easy, while the subjective portion is much more difficult to put in words, but they pulled it off very nicely.

Don't be fooled. The turbo still has lag.

great article. i agree with most of the analysis, however, having had a 997.1 turbo, there is plenty of turbo lag, which i found almost infuriating.

again, great read.

thanks for posting.

It's funny not to many folks here cite the term UTFSE when it comes to comparing the two models. Since the topic has been beaten like a dead horse.

I owned a 2008 Turbo since new and traded for a 2011 GT3 RS. A spot on comparison. I miss my Turbo at times and then I drive the RS. I am tempted to own both but I already have a dumb a$$ number of cars. I enjoyed the article. That comparison has been going thru my mind since I bought the RS. Also that big wing make me smile every time I look at in the rear view mirror. And high HP normally aspirated engines are great. Part of what makes a Ferrari so fun.

A great read! One of the best articles I have read in any magazine in a very long time. Thank you.
