Default Sport Button Exhaust Issue??

Hi Guys,

I went for a drive tonight and for the first 30 minutes the car sounded awesome with the Sport Button on.

Then I was stopped at a set of lights on a steep inclibe front of the car pointing down when the exhaust started making a strange vibrating sound.

When I took off the it sounded as though one or both of the valves in the exhaust were stuck closed.

No matter if I switched it on or off, the car still made this horrible noise and it also seemed under powered.

I switched the car of several times without any luck. So I headed back home and after about 25 minutes the which was just before I got home the exhaust went back to normal.

Does anyone know WTF that was all about??

Thanks for that.

So do you know what caused the problem?

Did they unplug them for good to fix the problem or did you do it?

+1 for permanent unplug.

I unplugged mine at the dealer and never plugged it in again.
Little less torque on the street they say, but I can't tell puttering around town.

When only one side fails it sounds really odd! I had that happen.

Had it too a couple of times. Car sounds much more "mean" and deeper. Pretty weird.

Yes that happens and car sounds like a sick cow when it does !! Irritating. Seems to occur prevalently when the chassis of car is stressed somewhat ie , backing out of your drive way etc.

Is this the famous plug?

Do I just un-plug with the contact off?

Thanks

that is the wrong plug you have identified above. it is just above your red square. It is the plug that goes into that grey looking item.

Just below that. It is the grey plastic plug. It looks like a right angle.
