Yes -- I've done that and works flawlessly. The Carnewal module does a nice job controlling the valves (regardless of sport mode setting and throttle/speed) to either stay open or closed. Programming the home link buttons (need to program 2 buttons) to use in lieu of the wireless remote makes it slick!
