When I grow up I want to be Patrick Long. Wait a sec, I am already grown up. D'oh!!! Oh well, better luck in the next life. Cool video. Confirms what we already knew, that Porsche road cars have been engineered from their long history of success in the motorsports world. Hopefully sometime in the not too distant future I will be able to trade up from my 993C2 to a GT3 so that I will experience what Patrick Long and some of the rest of you already know.
But if I do trade up, I will need to change my screen name.

Indeed, his insights for example about front tire grip under trail braking with a rear engine vs front engine car were very well articulated.
Not sure the stock diff on a street GT3 will do what it does on his RSR, however, getting on the throttle early in a corner to help turn the car... : )

It's a bit too scripted, but it's a magazine series -- you might notice the other videos comparing "road" versions of track cars, since it's Road&Track mag. The comparison of the Corvette is one of the more "strained" performances by a pro driver to deliver the marketing blather with as little cringing as humanly possible. : )
