Panamera and Cayenne saved the company. 911 in the dumps for the month. Spyder did not garner the sales I thought it would. Crazy. Thanks for the monthly update Brian.
Once the regular Cayenne comes on line, sales will be chunky- it is an awesome upgrade from previous model.

The required MS in mechanical engineering to operate the canvas top on the spyder might make a few people think twice. I watched and it sure looked like it two factory people to work it. From what I saw at Parade, it looks like they saved a little too much weight on that thing for me.

Porsche does have other cool variants coming, they each create or revisit a niche of 911 owner preferences. Cars like the Boxster Spyder are, in my humble, if the design is "worthy," designed to elicit polarized opinions. The last thing a designer wants is a luke warm reception -- they want to people to love or hate with passion, not to stroll past in ambivalence. Lamborghini has forgotten their history and Ferrari has some sort of acid trip recollection of their design history if the 458 is their best idea.

I think the 911 sales number was lowerd not because it was lacked of demands, but Porsche intentionally limited the 911 production/allocation.
My salesperson has been telling me that in the last couple years, Porsche cut down the 911 production/allocation year by year. He barely had enough 911's in the showroom for display, and sometimes he had to put CPO 911's (preowned GT3, Turbo, etc.) to fill the showroom.
Regards,

I'm surprised the Turbo is anywhere near the S and 4S numbers. I think the pick of the litter is the P4 -- it's actually fun to drive and 300hp with PDK really moves that car. No kidding!
When will we hear more about the Hybrid?
