Thanks, Brian. Can you share how many Spyders have sold year-to-date?
The roof procedure is nothing to be intimidated by. Certainly more work than pushing a button, but not much more than MB SLs, 3-series, etc. from the late 1980s (for those who remember).
The required MS in mechanical engineering to operate the canvas top on the spyder might make a few people think twice. I watched and it sure looked like it two factory people to work it. From what I saw at Parade, it looks like they saved a little too much weight on that thing for me.

I think the 911 sales number was lowerd not because it was lacked of demands, but Porsche intentionally limited the 911 production/allocation.
My salesperson has been telling me that in the last couple years, Porsche cut down the 911 production/allocation year by year. He barely had enough 911's in the showroom for display, and sometimes he had to put CPO 911's (preowned GT3, Turbo, etc.) to fill the showroom.
Regards,

The other thing that was different this year was the model year changeover. Previous years, the model year changeover happened after the summer break. This year it was done earlier. The only justification seemed to be to raise the prices and the buyers were happy to pay.
