Sorry Marcin as much as I like the 6RS in straight line it is a bit slower than the 997.1RS when both cars are standard. I have tested that.
Also about laptimes I have to tell you that the 7.1 RS is considerably easier to drive than the 6 if you are not Walter.. but times are really close.
The 7.2 RS is from another planet no need to make a comparison.
But if you mod the hell out of a 6 then everything changes and all bets are off.

the .1RS is tad quicker than 6RS, same way the .2RS is tad quicker than .1RS
track conditions and tires are varables too.
modify any one of the RS's and it changes everything.

I can buy for good price 7RS I 5000km. The difference in price in Poland between 7RSI vs II is 80k euro
I can sell my 6 quickly 40-45k euro.
I wonder if the 80k euro is reasonable defference between I vs II. I mean the performance?
I think that 7RS MK I with low km could be very goog platform for some improvments?

Are you going to be racing it? What is your need to be any faster based on ? I'd keep the 6 and try to improve my driving by 1s a lap... or buy a 7 because you prefer the look but not because you need a slightly faster/easier car in stock trim. If you just need to be faster mod the 6. Maybe it's just me but I find 80K difference between .1 and .2 outrageous (I'd keep the one you have an add a 964RS for example). Good luck with your search.

go get yourself a 997.1RS and save 80K.
mod the full suspension for 10k and track wheels for 5k.
center muffler bi pass, seats, harnesses and clubsport cage for another 20k.
do LSD, 996 CUP shifter cables, and 4.0R&P all for approx 10k.
You are still out the door less than a 997.2RS.
eventually 3.9L the sucker and you will have a weapon of a street legal track toy.
still for less than a 997.2RS @ current market value in your neck of the woods of course....
Give it a few years and this same formula can be applied to a 997.2RS....
BUT FOR NOW...... 997.1RS

I'd really rather have the euros in the bank than the newest possible car...and I've had the .1gt3, the .1RS, the .2RS- honestly it's all so close to being the same when you're behind the wheel, I'd rather just mod the current car rather than go through the hassles

I agree....I read them many times but always I could find something interesting what I didn't noticed
Mooty:
"..for ME, 7.1 or 7.2, RS or not is not worth the money over 6 but I wanted one to inflate my midlife crisis ego issue. In retrospect Viagra would have been much cheaper"
especially:
"...listen to Mooty. He has logged more hours driving GT3s than sleeping"
of course it was joke...
Seriously, where 7,1RS is much faster than 6 on fast sections or with more corners?
Tuscany964:
Im not going to be racing driver...I just can not afford it- do it my way. I defined long time ago so-called: fun factor in racing. I realised that in semi pro racing I can find it as well not spending tons of time and money fot being 4th or working as a background!!!
Im corious of driving lap times in 7 and Id like to taste sth new...my be TSCRACING! opinion appeals to me much, especially that 7rs looks good and I always can do some mods.
but racing cup cars always gives lots of fun and exitment...hard to deny
