Usually SW Vintage lists their cars on BaT but puts the car on their site for a few weeks while they wait for BaT listing to go live. Think they've sold cars ahead of auctions though.

I've spoke to Mark there before on a car a few years ago, and I had positive impression, FWIW.

Interesting result on the BAT car. 255k before fees. I was expecting higher. I guess it truly does depend on "who is in the room" for these auction sales.

I was surprised as well; seemed low. There were a few items that may have been detractors: rear bumper damage (looks like a tow hitch) just above the license plate and rear quarter panel ding/scratch, sofas, powdercoated factory wheels, and exhaust/intercoolers (if someone wants stock). Plus the winning bidder dropped the boss line "I have all afternoon." The other black one that sold for $343K just last month was an even lower mileage and cleaner example. All things considered, this recent one seems like a steal!

BaT post-sale comments are incredulous about the price and how much a steal the black car was. We are looking at close to a $100k delta vs the white one that sold last month!
In the past, even cars with seriously questionable history or that were heavily modified did not go for that much under prevailing market

Kind of funny to me that most of these ultra low mileage 997.1 GT2s were spec'd with sofa seats, and didn't get driven anyway.

As a previous owner of a very nice GT2, these prices are compelling and should be for many to purchase one. I prefer NA hints why I sold mine and kept 997 RS but in the mid 200’s this is a hell of a car. So quick!
