I get the 997 guy thing. Same here. I think they're the best cars they've ever and will ever make. We'll see on the 4RS...mine just landed. Like it a lot so far as a contrast to the GT2.

Thanks. I know the car has some history, which is probably why it went for what it did. Underpriced the other driver-grade GT2s I was looking at by 20-60k...but some of those cars were in much worse shape. Regardless, I'm not afraid to put money into this car to make it "shine." It's going straight to Repasi Motorwerks for a full check-over and will address any issues, and then will get paint correction + full PPF ![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

The spec for '09 between Canada and EU/Switzerland was almost identical. Mine is an '09 Canadian car, imported to California easily by the previous owner, then I imported to Switzerland, also with no issues. California didn't care about the exterior blinker light color, the analog speedo in KM, hazard button/light difference, interior window latch difference, etc.
If US/California didn't care about the NA/Canadian spec, and if the NA/Canadian spec is the same/similar to EU/Swiss, then an EU/Swiss car should be fine to import to NA/US/Canada. Or am I missing something......

If you try to register a WPOZZZ car in the USA that is under 25 years old, it's very likely not happening. I've looked into this fairly extensively in the past, as I wanted to practice some GT2 arbitrage by importing rare spec GT2s from Europe and selling them in the USA. I was told emphatically that it's not legal, and that was talking to professionals in the industry who import and register everything. Only the North America VINs are allowed by default up to 25 years of age. The interesting loophole you described to me is if you bought a car in Europe, imported it to Canada with their 15 year rule, and then bought it from Canada and tried to import to the USA. That is a trick worth attempting, and I am not sure but that might work.

@M&Abanker4life , it won't make a difference, still will have to go through the long/$$$$ process of petition/federalizing.
