PSDS 3 Day Masters Plus course
Just attended the Masters Plus course at Barber Motorsports Park
An outstanding class with only 11 attendees! Small class made time for 3 more track sessions.
I'm just amazed at how really good a Stock Carrera really is on track.
Last sessions were run with NO reference cones indicating turn in, apex or track out.
Day one nice onditions
Day two Half rain and wet conditions, half drying out.
Day three dry but cold Mid 40°s
Hot laps in the Turbo in cold conditions were quite interesting as the tires never got heated up, so it was a bit slippery. Great job by my pilots Owen and Cass!!
Anyone interested doing a Rennlist Masters Plus in March or April???

Nice, thanks for posting the vid.
BTW, I'm really suprised that they let your car in the paddock. They made us all park putside the gate when I went, citing insurance reasons.

Thanks for posting, 3 great days at the track!
I have not made it to Barber in the GT3 yet, but I will next summer! I will just do a track day though...
Please change the orange side marker ASAP.
MJones has all kinds of top secret access and clearance to any location and anything Porsche related..

A friend and I have scheduled the Master's Plus on April 21,22,&23. Come on out and join us!
By the way, could you offer any comments comparing the Plus course to the regular Master's level?

Running the track without cones was SO fun!
No question I got in all the driving I could stand, as fast as I felt comfortable with over the three days. Instructor feedback after every session, which I soaked up and got faster every session. If you are willing to learn, adapt and apply you will be going very fast if that is what you seek.
A lot of fun practising heel/toe with the 6 speeds. A lot of fun focusing on braking, the line, and momentum in the PDK S's.
The wet conditions were a real blast with the compromised and varying traction conditions.
Instructors, car, track, everything is A-1 first class. It is a fantasitic experience which I can fully recommend to any true driving enthusiast seeking an intensive and ultra-fun learning experience.

2009 Turbo...2010 should be coming in 2010.
Cost $5295
No west coast ... only at BMP
Masters is 2 days, lead follow day one and 1st part of day 2. Then you are out on track for the balance of the day, 3 sessions, no lead follow.
Masters Plus; Short lead follow first session then for the balance of the class, no lead follow.
The brake pedal is the hardest pedal to master! Going from the gas to a good Hard initial brake, and modulating smoothly off the brake back to gas.
The instructors can turn consistent 1.44 laps, with bone stock Carreras.
Rarely will a student break into the 1.48 range most likely will be in the low 1.50 range.
As well being consistent lap after lap.
