I am tracking '07/'08 RS's for sale on Ebay, Autotrader and Cars.com daily since I am in the market for a such a vehicle. And I just saw this new listing in Ebay for WP0AC29987S792762 that apparently was posted today. As you can see & read via the links below, there is something here that does not appear exactly 'Kosher'. I will let each of you reach your own conclusions as to what is going on here. But I thought it would be prudent to bring it to the attention of the Forum just in case one of you is considering this vehicle for purchase. z356

Report from Max's gt3rs Registry. I remember seeing this car for months advertised by New Country Porsche in Greenwich, Connecticut. Their listing just disappeared a few weeks ago and I assumed it had been sold. Are these two cars the same vehicle (VIN # 2762)???

The Ebay seller has posted the following in his auction listing: "I have not personally inspected or photographed this vehicle. I am relying on the pictures and descriptions provided by the seller". That I can believe!

This car has been out there, on and off, for a long time. I bought my RS in March and saw this same car on ebay several times before then.

Steve: Look at the interior photos provided by the Ebay seller and compare them to photos of the car at the Porsche dealership in Greenwich. I don't want to spoil your fun by telling you ahead what you will find. Saludos, z356.

i remeber seeing car #2762 advertized for sale in Tampa last year.
it had beautiful carrera gt seats, clubsport roll bar and fire bottle. i loved it.
this car on ebay shares the same VIN#, however the ebay car dosnt have sat nav, alacantara door panels with orange inserts and other such options as it did last year????
what is going on here?
The car on ebay is obviously a different VIN# then stated.

i did some ebay internet policeing and this is what the ebayer got back to me with: 
WP0CA29957S792671
said he had the VIN from the previous RS listed by mistake

tcsracing1: Ok. You would think getting the correct VIN would be first order of business for someone listing an RS for sale on Ebay. Glad he straighten that out.
He has now changed the VIN on his auction listing. For general information, here is what the Registry has on Vin #2671. z356

Oldguy: The weird thing remains that the Ebay seller initially provided a link to the Carfax on RS #2762, which he obviously didn't read before he posted it (if you want to give him the benefit of the doubt). So that is the SECOND reference in his Ebay listing to the wrong RS VIN # for a car he is trying to sell. In any case, he has now disabled that Carfax link in his auction but NOT YET provided a new Carfax link for VIN#2671. Oversight or something else here at play? We will know soon enough. I don't have access to Carfax but others in these Forums probably do and might post what that says re: #2671. z356
