Looks like same old same old. I was really hoping for a 4.0 DFI with PDK.

Aero and width mean it's the perfect platform. Just add lightness and suspension.

Lightness is the major problem. I traded in an Exige S on an '07 RS last week and feel like I've made the worst mistake of my car-buying life. The extra thousand pounds is so evident that the car just isn't fun. There's no way they'll add enough lightness to make me buy a new one.

Why can't they snap photos of important things, like tire sizes?

Scrolling through the various photos, a couple of things jumped out:

1. This car has US plates (Michigan), but also has the CGT CF seats!

2. The rear Turbo wheel is a center lock!!

Most likely 'manufacturer' plates for testing only. Note that it also has a Euro rear bumper without bumperettes.

No way the airbagless CGT CF seats will ever be available as an option in the US.

Larry,

Nothing wrong with a 3.8 and a six speed. My point is that an extra 200 cc's and 20 HP are not enough to make me want to change my present RS for a new model which seems to be little changed. The MkII will have PSM (mandatory), probably come with the same seats as the 997GT2 and have dynamic engine mounts and such. I guess they are saving the real goodies for the 991. After you've had a chance to drive a PDK on the track, you may change your mind about the transmission

Regards,
