I appreciate the owner's enthusiasm in converting his GT3 into a track weapon!

The rear mounting points on that Teq bar make me cringe.

What's with the pad on the inside roof? Heat protection from baking in the sun?

It sure looks like a fun toy!

I think that's the inside part of the no-sunroof conversion. The previous picture shows the roof has been made solid.

Yes, but why the fabric pad? Is it simply to hide a weld line?

The pad on the roof may be to prevent the roof from vibrating. I remember John C. reporting that his roof was vibrating (and was loud) after this mod. Does any one have a number on this modification?

if one wants sunroof delete with NO headliner, please just but a factory roof skin. It's really cheap luke $500 or less. The headliner however us 1000's.

or carbon fiber skin.

Vibrating roof after a weld job? Oh, I don't like the sound of that!

No knocks here... I'm sure he's enjoying that ride to its fullest!

I would say it is much better than the grey one on ebay with the body kit and Cup wing with stock front lip spoiler and the intake that does not match.

As for the piece of Dynomat looking material on the roof; it could be to cover welds, and also as mentioned, be a piece of Dynomat. I can imagine that with just the plain, thin roof without any kind of insulation, that it can get "tiny" and vibrate. That small piece may do a lot to make the car feel more solid. Just a guess.
