Interesting..

What is the line exactly? Is this car bad JUST because of the TE bar or because it doesn't have a cage? I'm actually curious of what the general opinion is.
+1 Mooty

I have tracked a Mustang for 5 years and never spun yet, most people that heave seen me on track will say that I drive it over the limit, but eventauly. I will, and I even will crash.
When I go out on the track I go 100% of my ability. My personal opnion is that I can do decent laptimes, but I can not race (too many people crowding the track.), so HPDE is ideal for me.

One of the reasons I could go 100% is that I am comfortable in my cage, seat, 6 point seat belts and Hans device. With my new GT3 I am OK with the techquipment bar and the knowledsge that Porsches are solidly build. At least for the beginning period of learing the car. If I get to the point that I am scaring myself regularly like in my old car I probably get the full "light" cage that leave the intirior intact.

If you race however, I think you are saving in he wrong place if you do not have the maximum safety available to you, no matter how much of the intirior you have to rip out.

I would but i'm tired of the uncalled for, unnecessary comments that come with being a newbie to the track. I have a great passion for cars and know a good amount about how they work but solely b/c i dont have the track experience with it i get called out, put down, etc and honestly its just not worth getting excited over. I'm all about respect and on this particular sub forum i get none, at least from a couple members, so its just not worth it to comment anymore.

As such, I'm really starting to understand RL now. Its more of a closed community to those with track experience. If you dont have it, dont comment or be prepared for a lot of arrogant useless comments aimed at putting you in your 'place' and reminding everyone on this board of your newbie status. And like i said frankly i'm tired of hearing it. I think A LOT of the more track experienced members take a great deal of pride in putting newbies in their place instead of welcoming them. Comes with the territory i suppose. I've gotten all i need from RL (mainly contacts like Mooty, CJ, Dan, etc...), as well as many outside enthusiast and tuners who can help guide my track time, spending, instruction, etc...so in a short while i'm going to give posting on RL a rest. At least until i have more track experience so i dont have to deal with the arrogance.
Colby, you mention the helpful heros of rennlist, but do not underestimate the experience of they guys that are the track junkies, we see it happen almost every weekend, we instruct the beginners and you can really profit from their critisism and respondes. Everyone her is passionate 'bout their Porsche experience.

Great. We need pictures. Have you checked out Ruf interiors (online or otherwise)? The cages really are very nice. No ghetto racer for mooty!

We (Black sheep Crew) have a cold beer after a long day,

Mooty Likes the finer things of life, he needs a
Good chair, Nice umbrella, and a Glass of Cognac

Eric has these in the trailer with the R6's

AC is $1500 and a (quiet) generator to run it is $2500.
(My trailer has AC and a coffee pot now ...)

John: I think you mean PJ. We are about the same speed (1:47's at SP)

Mooty, Early Apex, Tom W, 4 large

Any of you interested in the PCA race, Drivers Ed at Miller Motorsports 4.5 mile track September 26 to the 28th. I got to drive the full track on June 9 and had one of the most fun times of my life. What a great high speed track. I just registered and sent my check today. 3 days of DE.

dont ask what the toy is. i will announce it when it's here. i think everyone will like it.
