As magazine articles go, that is a very good one.
Anyone care to comment on the discussion about the description on pages 8-9 of the "borderline NASA" oil pump that "provides the stability of lubrication of a dry sump system under extreme loads," and results in "greater fuel economy" and an "extra 3 bhp"?
Do you buy that the new system could be as track friendly as the dry sump from the GT1, or is this just wishful thinking from Porsche?

Interesting...seems like that cool machine that gyrates the engine around would sure tell the engineers if oil starvation was going to be an issue. Since the GT1 block still has RMS issues--perhaps this new design will address that and give more power for the GT cars. Porsche, being the most profitable car company in the world--probably has come up with a way to use the same blocks with just little tweaks here and there to up the ante on power for the GT models...brilliant...

good post interesting. Not to happy to read that the RMS issue is just a plan old design flaw that we were sold and they keep us trucking back to the dealer to put in a new seal that won't work. Roll up your sleeves put a design teem on it an fix it. Since i am still paying for my end of the bargain.
