1. The seats are a bit firm. Maybe add just a touch more padding.
2. The steering wheel is to firm and too thin. Make it thicker and add more padding.
3. Take a bit of spring out of the front end. Like most 911's it "hunts" a bit over bumps since it is so stiff and there is so little weight up there.
4. Devise some simple system to allow the front end to be raised so it can clear driveways and such (like the Lambo system).
5. Put some of the controls (maybe the climate control, or radio, or cruise) on the steering wheel.
6. Do something about the lousy sound system.

I am not a fan of the creature comforts in the GT3. I am against the sunroof, and even dislike the idea of a CD/radio. I never use mine, and prefer the sound of the engine. If one wants "compliant", buy a Turbo. Put in some cup holders and add some sound proofing and *presto* you have the perfect DD. But don't touch the GT3! Keep it simple and raw.... I miss the Porsches of old, and this vehicle finds a very delicate balance...

Each to his own, but I like my 997 GT3 just the way it is. The seats are fantastic on my back, I like the sunroof and on and on I could go. In fact back to the seats I am going to sell my 2008 Corvette and the core reason is the seats are not supportive for my back. I much prefer the GT3 seats or the Recaros I have in the '83 SC. Each to his or her own but I think Porsche did a great job on the GT 3 and mine is a keeper.

Audio delete
Minium sound proofing
Alcantara as an option (I like good old leather)

I like my GT3 just the way Porsche built it. I wouldn't change a thing, unless it was to add more HP! Put I have said the same thing about every Porsche I have ever owned!

I think most would prefer to delete most of those options you feel would improve it, sounds like you need/prefer a 997 Turbo.
Sunroof delete would be a good start, then the following
Lower
Stiffer
Wider
Less sound proofing
carpet delete option
Rollbar & Harnesses std.

reduce the stupid exhaust to 90db or less.
18" wheels
ac, xenon, radio, eitherway i dont care.

I love my car. But, now that you asked:
1. LWFW (considering)
2. Resolve the dang RMS (leak started at around 2,600 miles)
3. Reprogram or delete the exhaust bypass system. (GMG center section already on the car, unplugged)
4. Lighter wheels (Dymags on order!)
So, I took steps to enhance the car. Overall, I am extremely happy.

I would have deleted the sunroof but I like it now. With Sharkys rear pipe it sounds great with the sunroof open.
I would like the LWFW
I have Fikses on order so no wheel problem But I would not mind BBS or Fikse as stock.
More HP? I cant use what we got but bragging rights would be cool but if I wanted a crotch rocket I guess
I would be driving a ZO6.

1. Seats - Should offer a 996GT3 seat as option (Mitsubishi Evolution had Recaro seats that accomidate harnesses)
2. Should come with a carbon fiber wing (Mitsubishi Evolution had carbon wing?)
3. Lighter wheels would be nice
4. Sunroof delete
5. Exhaust bypass - cheeky at best
Have not yet had it to the track, so can not comment. Overall, very impressed and happy with the purchase. Someone else is enjoying the Mitsubishi seat and wing!
