On the front-
Would this tapered wear of the treadblock be caused by a overinflation??

How many miles?
I run like 30# on the fronts and they look brand new compared to the cooked rears
I just replace. I was thinking I might get 3 sets of rears for one front
till I start hitting the track. Right now the whole set looks brand new.
5500 miles total original fronts and 2nd set of rears.

if u do chk camber make sure u chk toe too
excessive toe often produce very similar wear pattern as camber prob

- this is why i have made numerous comments in previous posts that the front can handle "far more" negative camber and yet still outlast the rears (even if you only street drive)
- the reason i believe is the lever effect
- the rear tires being a 305 are a much larger lever and any negative camber will excessively wear the inside edge (as everyone has reported)
- since you want to run some rear negative camber for performance and to keep the rear end from passing you (i have found -2.2 in the rear to be a good compromise) you can then start playing with the front camber for added performance / turnin until you are just not happy with the streetability
- even with -2.8 to -3 in the front, the inside rears will still cord before the fronts and -2.8 in the front is still perfectly fine for daily driving
- for those that don't want the twitchiness just keep the front toe setting at zero to very slightly toe in
- with stock oe front tires (or the real mpsc 235/35/19s) the car will still slightly push even with -2.9 front camber but the center tire channels will wear slightly less than shown in the picture (but it will still wear some) - thus I believe if you are truly tracking your car (90% of the time) you are going to want your front camber in the range of -3.5 (and if you do this you are obviously going to have to increase the rear camber as well

My tires have 3880 miles currently front -1.6 camber 1/8 toe-in, rear -1.9 camber 3/16 toe in. Three track days. I will be going more aggressive on Camber.
By the way I don't do burn outs or donuts. I do a little drifting in some corners at the track.

I really don't know how you guys get so many miles out of your MPSC's. Here are a couple pix of my last set of rears which only have 2441 miles on them. No track time only road. Alignment is as per street spec. I am changing them today as they are pretty much useless at this point.

what pressures are people running their MPSC's at on the track; I ran them for the 1st time at Sears Point Monday and was amazed at how sensitive they are to pressure/temp, they seem very unhappy if they are not in their sweetspot.

I also dont recommend spinning on them; I flatspotted one of my rears coming out of the carousel!

When I arrive in the paddock they are at 32-33. When they totally cool off in the morningthey are about 27. My goal is 34-36 in the hot pits right off the track. If you let them get too hot (over 36) they seem to get slippery...

Those sport Cups have alot of life left if you run them on the track! Street with water, well then I agree they could be dangerous, but I would love to have them for the track!

It is the toe that will wear out tires more than any negitive camber.
Kevinlpl, how are you liking the Nitto NT01's. I am think about these as my next track tire once my Toyo RA1's are wore out later this year.

after driving to the track, i start at 26/26
now you know why i hate mpsc. they are great tires WHEN you are in their very narrow performance band.
