what was the early speculation of RS numbers? If I recall, it was WAY lower than the number delivered.

I also have one of the feb RS cars. Do you know what production to date is for US MY 08? And if it is complete?

Thanks

I might have tried harder had I known the real numbers. After seeing the initial numbers and the initial prices of 50,60 and up over MSRP I just quit looking for an RS and hunted down the GT silver GT3.
Oh well, I still love my standard GT3 and I still dont think the RS is worth a over MSRP premium over the standard GT3 (sour grapes? probably) but its well worth the 17K MSRP hike over the Standard GT3.
CJ who has owned both has made me feel better about that.
But I still get a HUGE grin walking into the garage and seeing the monster sitting there!!!

Original rumors were 229+30 VIP cars = 259 (2007)
and then another 60 or 65 (2008)

Which would be 324 total

What was never totally clear was whether these numbers everyone
was quoting were for the USA, or for North America, which would be USA + Canada
Canada appears to get about 6% of the North American total.

Here is a running total summary (thanks MJones!):

2007
February 18
March 70
April 118
May 163
June 213
July
August
September
October
November
December 366

2008
January 374
February

during the months that there is no data, about 25 were delivered per month

If you count deliveries thru September 2007 as MY2007s and deliveries starting October 2007 as MY2008s, then it looks like there are about 288 MY2007s, and 84 and still counting MY2008s.

anyway you slice it up; they are both relatively rare cars and I, for one, don't subscribe to the, "can't tell the difference b/w the RS and the 3" mentality.....take them both out and flog the sh*t out of them back to back and then come tell me which is more confidence inspiring...I am glad I have both
