Default 997 GT3 low option Carrara White; interior and exterior pictures

I got the 997 GT3. Much thanks to doc2s and mooty, who helped me with some rational encouragement. Here are some pictures. Of particular interest to some may be how the thicker leather steering wheel and the base interior look. I should have got the console in exterior color--my 996 GT3 had it and I think it looked better than the dust-magnet-black console I now have. Otherwise, I am absolutely enamored with this car.

Other options are rain sensing wipers (great rainy day track tool), heated seats (don't ask), Xenons, upgraded (but still pathetic) stereo and extinguisher.

this post is great for 3 reasons ---

1) shows me that the standard interior looks fine
2) lets me see what the thicker leather SW looks like
3) validates that if you get the upgraded stereo, you DO NOT get the nav screen (thank God)

thanks!

What is the material in the middle of the seats? It doesnt look like leather.

On the console? Plastic. The best way for me to describe it is the slightly rubbery, Audi-like plastic stuff. Does that make sense?

No need to rub it in...

Congratulations on your test drive at LCMT!

Those ERP suspension goodies are the best, I think the new car is going to need the same parts.

Jonathan,
What is so wrong with ordering the navagation system, surely it cannot be e weight related issue. You would love the car I have ordered for October build...LOL...navigation, everything possible in leather, PCCB, Xenon headlights, amber side markers, essentially all of the sins... oh well, to each his own. I think its great that we have these choices and each car is a bit different. I do like the thicker leather steering wheel and may try to make that change, thanks for posting it.

All the same, I think your car is great and I do wish you well with it.

Lemur.

no offense intended... I am just not a nav screen guy. understand that I am coming from a 993. If I could take that car's interior and put it in this GT3, I would

I know that may sound crazy to most, but I LOVE the purposeful interior in the 993
